& It Was All Yellow

Summer is my favourite season. There’s nothing I love more than feeling the warmth of the sun, blue skies and if i’m lucky, getting a glimpse of the ocean as laughter and music permeate through the air. I’m so glad I got to experience all of this and more during a recent sister-cation to Brighton!

Yellow is always my go-to colour for the summer season, a staple. And so, when I saw this top at Zara I was ecstatic! It was a bit of me in every way - feminine, fun & flattering to my body. I decided to pair it with beige Bermuda shorts (which I’m LOVING lately because they’re so comfortable and classy at the same time). I’m also enjoying being a blondie for the summer and so wearing a red lip made too much sense, it was only right.

I wore my crocs (outside for the first time, cause I usually only wear these at home) and was so shocked at how perfect of a colour match they were with my top!

Shorts: Asos, Shoes: Crocs

Shades: Asos (borrowed from my sister before I thrifted mine later in the day, hehe)

All in all, I’m really enjoying the curation of a summer wardrobe that is colourful, fun and comfortable at the same time; that’s everything this outfit gave and I was so glad about it!

So summer was summering (at first!) and it was nice to be out and about in a very summery outfit and feel well dressed for the weather. However, as it does in the UK , the weather got quite chilly quite quickly and so it was great that I had a cardigan with me and that coupled with my sister’s scarf, really helped to keep me warm when I needed it. I knew ahead of time that we’d feel a dip in temperature but couldn’t predict at what level of intensity it would be for me (it ended up being mid-low). I’m thankful that things didn’t escalate to the point of any form of a crisis, but I must be hypervigilant in this confused weather regardless, so help me God!
