Once September hits, a sea of trench coats flood the city of London. It's genuinely like clockwork and I'm so here for it!

A trench is the perfect transition coat to bid summer adieu and usher in the A/W season. It can be paired with so many things and is the perfect coat for layering - especially if you're like me and you like that slightly oversized, baggy look for your outerwear.

Coat: Zara

I've also been into a lot of neutral tones lately and a classic trench coat captures that perfect camel tone that can be paired with so many things! I chose to create my outfit around the coat itself and paired it with a beige jumper and a denim skirt - primarily because I also wanted my shoes to have a moment.

Turtleneck: Primark | Belt: ASOS

Skirt: Stradivarius

Shoes: Nike

I love when there’s a splash of colour in my sneaker game - not every day whites & blacks.

I also feel like a classic trench coat offers such a luxe aesthetic and so I had to bust out my lickle Valentino purse. I felt like such a lady with this 'fit and it's one that I see myself repeating because not only did it look super cute but I felt so comfortable.

Bag: Valentino

Issa 10/10 from me for this trend.

I layered two thermals underneath my turtleneck which helped to protect the top half of my body. Though the denim skirt is a vibe and a half, I'll probably relegate it to the S/S season because the way the cold was tattooing itself on my legs wasn’t funny! I had planned to wear skin-coloured tights but was apprehensive because I felt they wouldn’t look natural enough and thus detract from the lewk. But who knows, maybe the next time I’m wearing this ‘fit (because again there will be a next time), I'll try it.
